HORSE TRAINING
Some horses are genetically wired to be athletic, learn quickly, and transition between riders more easily than other horses.
Corey recognizes the Principle of Individuality, and uses methods that break down the learning process allowing the horse to retain correct responses. Corey teaches horses to understand cues from the bridle and reins, the rider's legs, voice, and body adjustments, as well as, teaching the horse to understand how to use his own body more efficiently. Corey's program develops and produces successful results for many different types of horses.
SPECIALIZING IN REINING

There is so much that goes in to properly training horses, especially reining horses. Corey has focused on reining since he graduated from college.
"I was drawn to reining because of the detailed specifics, both within the training process and the finished horse. Reining is an extension of horsemanship with power steering and power breaks. Essentially, every horse has to Go, Turn, and Stop. Reining, to me, is the extreme quality of horse training with detailed precision, when done well."
Feel, timing, and reward are key elements for developing willing and competitive horses. Corey has had multiple regional affiliate championships, as well as Top Tens in NRHA NAAC Limited Open, and AQHA Congress Top Tens in Limited Open. Corey is elibigble to show in NRHA Levels 1-4.

Corey believes every rider has the potential to develop skills that will enable correct communication for building a solid partner. It's a rewarding accomplishment for the rider to have confidence in their own ability and make the necessary corrections.

Corey recognizes the owner's desire to reach their own goals, and has been coaching and teaching horsemanship and reining skills for over 22 years. His easy manner of communicating has connected with Non Pros, Youth, & clinic participants to promote the enjoyment of riding and the sport of reining.

Our Team WPH family is developing and finding success both in and out of the show pen. Our Coaching Program helps the riders learn and do the work to build the necessary relationships for improvement and progression in reaching personal goals.
Our CLINICS focus on the riders making the connections with their horses and developing practical exercises to implement in their own riding environments. We offer REINING CLINICS, FUNDAMENTALS CLINICS, and HORSEMANSHIP CLINICS.
